Live Insects (No links must see an associate)

As part of a hedgehog's natural diet, it is important to offer them a variety of 10 or more insects per day. However, some hedgehogs may not eat insects, even if we try hard. In such cases, we supplement their diet with cricket powder and organ meats. The insects listed below are arranged in order of their nutritional value, with the top insects being the most recommended and the bottom ones being more of a treat to prevent boredom.

Dubia Roaches
Crickets
Black Soldier Fly Larvae
Butterworms
Waxworms
Hornworms
Superworms
Mealworms ( rare treat)

Enclosures

ALL wire top enclosures need a 10" barrier around all four sides such as Plexiglass OR Corolated Plastic to prevent climbing. and to help hold in heat. Two heat setups are recommended for all of the cages below, but only one is required.
